Job Title: Teacher Assistant Location: North West London Job Description: As a Teacher Assistant in North West London, your primary responsibility is to provide support to teachers and students in the classroom. You will work closely with the lead teacher to ensure a positive learning environment and assist in the implementation of educational plans. Classroom Assistance: Support the lead teacher by assisting with classroom management, including maintaining discipline, organising materials, and preparing lesson materials. 2. Student Support: Provide individualised attention and support to students, helping them with assignments, projects, and tasks. Offer guidance and encouragement to foster student engagement and participation. 3. Instructional Support: Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities. Help in delivering instruction under the supervision of the lead teacher, reinforcing key concepts and providing clarification as needed. 4. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior. Assist with grading assignments and assessments. 5. Classroom Environment: Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Support students in developing teamwork, respect, and good study habits. 6. Special Needs Assistance: Collaborate with the lead teacher to provide support for students with special needs, ensuring their individual educational goals are met. 7. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the lead teacher, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements. 8. Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as photocopying, organizing materials, and preparing classroom resources. Requirements: – Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A relevant degree or certification in education or child development is a plus. – Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred. – Strong communication and interpersonal skills. – Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students. – Organizational skills and attention to detail. – Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team. – Familiarity with educational technology and computer skills.
