Registered Children’s Home Manager Immediate Start

Location:

Sidcup, South East London

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

-To build positive relationships with each child/Young person at the home

-To ensure that during the key stages of a young persons stay, admission and discharge are managed suitably and with sensitivity to ensure that relevant information about young people is communicated to staff.

-To ensure that the environment of the home promotes a sense of order, well-being, Safety as well as a sense of pride.

-To oversee and plan for contact between the children/ young people and their families or significant others.

-To ensure that health and safety regulations are complied with including environmental health and fire regulations.

-To ensure that the home environment is maintained to promote a sense of order, safety, and well-being, as well as a sense of pride.

-To actively promote Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy’ PACE in everyday, aiming to prove healthy attachment, and security through consistent and attuned approaches.

-To recognise, respond, record, and refer any safeguarding concerns in line with the home’s Safeguarding Policy.

Qualifications:

-Level 5 Children’s and families NVQ/QCF or currently working towards (required)

-Minimum 2 years working in a children’s residential (required)

– Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, families, and healthcare professionals

Salary

£50,0000 – £60,000 with additional bonuses
