What does a Project Design Manager do?

• Will lead the design operations of multiple projects while overseeing interaction and interface between multiple design stakeholders by being the project safekeeper.
• As the main point of contact with clients, the responsibilities revolved around chairing meetings with all stakeholders and ensuring proper communication between all parties involved; contract and deliverables management, identifying effective procurement strategies for the project, programme and design management, keeping the NOC tracker up-to-date; conducting VE exercises; and exploring creative solutions to achieve client targets in terms of delivery dates and budgets.
• Managed a significant number of super high-rise towers, residential and commercial buildings, hospitality, and private luxury homes for various clients.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant parties, and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BEng).
• With a minimum of 10 years of experience working within an architectural design or engineering consultancy.
• I have proven working experience as a project manager in architectural and engineering consulting.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
